Why I’m running
- Provide needed transparency to Columbia families
- To amplify under-represented and working parents’ voices to address issues of equity within the school district
- To make sure decisions prioritize safety for students, teachers, and staff
- To build connections across our community
- To build student achievement and opportunities
Qualifications
- Current VP of Columbia School Board
- Ongoing experience as an educator – both in traditional and non-traditional settings
- Previous small business owner
- Non-profit Executive Director
- Parent perspective – two school age children in middle and high school, one CPS graduate
- Advocate for strong public schools
